Wednesday Update from Craig- Trach is out!!

As of this morning Jordan was able to get the trach removed and has now been learning how to transfer himself from the bed to the chair.
Jordan after the Trach was removed

He can now focus more on the physical work that is needed, as the trach caused some limitations, so his days will be filled with more therapy sessions.

Last week he was struggling with frequent headaches that caused him to end therapy sessions early however the doctors scheduled a MRI to see if there was any spinal fluid leakage that was causing the headaches.  He was not able to complete the MRI so it was rescheduled, however Jordan feels the headaches are stemming from dehydration. The doctors do now feel the same way and will preform the MRI again if the headaches protists. He has been trying to get down water with the trach, which added some difficulty, he was able to get down 26oz. on Tuesday which seemed to help him get through the day.
The next step is working on completing a feeding test so he can get more nutrients in his body himself, hoping to increase his energy level.

Jordan is positive in his recovery and knows what he needs to do. So we hope to update you further with continued progress from Jordan.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT IN JORDAN
